In the remote mountains of Southwest China, there lives a mysterious ethnic group—the Miao people. Without a written language, they have used embroidery on their clothing to express their understanding of the universe and life, creating a unique and rare art form known as Miao embroidery. This exquisite craft has earned them the reputation of being one of the most skilled embroidery artisans in the world. Though little known, Miao embroidery is an invaluable cultural heritage of humanity.

From a young age, I accompanied my father, Zeng Xianyang, widely regarded as "China's foremost collector of Miao clothing," on journeys through the mountainous regions of Miao communities. For over 40 years, I have dedicated myself to collecting, preserving, and studying Miao embroidery. Throughout this journey, I have made numerous groundbreaking contributions to this field:

• Systematic Collection and Classification: I collected and organized Miao embroidery pieces, established its classification systems, and provided a foundation for its collection and evaluation.

• China's First Miao Embroidery Museum: I founded the first museum in China dedicated to Miao embroidery, establishing a cultural landmark for this once-overlooked and underappreciated art form.

• Pioneering Publications: I authored the first book on Miao embroidery, Miao Embroidery, followed by other groundbreaking works such as Miao Embroidery Atlas, The Secret Language of Miao Embroidery, and Miao Costume.

• Miao Embroidery Gene Database: I built the first gene database for Miao embroidery, creating a research platform for academics and industry professionals alike.

• Miao Embroidery × Fashion: As a pioneer in merging Miao embroidery with modern fashion and design, I have explored its contemporary relevance and cultural significance.

• International Recognition: I was among the first to introduce Miao embroidery to the international stage, participating in numerous overseas exhibitions and cultural exchanges.

Currently, I am working on the establishment of the Miao Embroidery Art Gallery and the Contemporary Miao Embroidery Art Museum, adopting innovative operational models to showcase the contemporary value and artistic charm of this traditional craft on a global platform.

        在遥远的东方，中国西南的大山深处，居住着一个神秘的民族——苗族，他们没有文字，却用服饰上的刺绣表达他们对天地和生命的理解，创造了一种独特而罕见的刺绣艺术——苗绣，成为世界上最会刺绣的民族。尽管苗绣鲜为人知，却是人类重要的文化遗产。

        我自幼随父亲曾宪阳（被誉为“中国苗族服饰收藏第一人”）走遍苗疆大山，四十多年来始终专注于苗绣的搜集整理、文化研究，在这个领域，我做了许多开创性的探索：
•    收藏并系统化梳理苗绣分类、解读，奠定了苗绣收藏与鉴定的基础；
•    创建了中国首座苗绣主题博物馆，为过去一直不为人知和被忽视的苗绣艺术树立了一座意义非凡的文化丰碑；
•    出版了第一部介绍苗绣的书籍《苗绣》，后续又出版《苗绣图源》《The Secret Language of Miao Embroidery》《苗装》等多部著作，都是开创性的研究成果；
•    建立苗绣基因数据库，搭建了便于学界和业界共同研究的资料平台；
•    “苗绣 × 时尚”跨界融合的先行者，将传统文化与技艺与现代设计创新结合，探索苗绣的当代价值意义；
•    最早将苗绣带入国际视野，多次参与海外展览与文化交流；
